Times Square New York City is a historical icon in America. What more needs to be said about to make a visit to Times Square more enticing? Times Square is located between West 42nd Street and West 47th Street, and is known for being one of the biggest entertainment centers in New York. Built between 7th Avenue and Broadway, Times Square has become a great tourist attraction due to the large digital billboards and the vast amounts of people who pass this commercial intersection.

About Times Square in New York

Times Square is a fantastic place to go to people-watch and listen to street performers. The square is always subject to new and exciting events, such as the Midnight Movement, which is the longest, and largest art exhibit in the world that runs in Times Square on the digital boards from 11:57 to midnight every night. At The Crossroads is an art movement that brings a great deal of artistic and cultural diversity to Times Square, as it features many artists and performers that are displayed in Times Square for months at a time.

As Times Square is located within the Theatre District, it only makes sense to visit the theatre while you explore Times Square. Many popular theatres include: the Ambassador Theatre, the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, and the Eugene O’Neill Theatre. All of these theatres have been around since the 1920’s and have a great deal of history attached to them. The Ambassador Theatre was one of the four theatres constructed during the expansion period before World War 1, and the Brooks Atkinson Theatre for having shown many shows with many famous actors, such as: Glenn Close, Kevin Spacey, and Jerry Stiller. The Eugene O’Neill Theatre is known for having been the first theatre to be built using steel framework. However, there are plenty more to choose from if you’re looking to see a show in the Broadway District.

There are many things to do while you visit Times Square. Some of the more popular attractions include the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, which shows many wax figures of celebrities well-known today, and Ripley’s Believe it or Not! Times Square store, which features many collections and curiosities. The Bryant Park is also located nearby, and offers near to 9 acres of land to take in the scenery.
